Kids’ Parkour Birthday Party in London – Behind the Scenes

A Behind-the-Scenes Look at Our Latest Parkour Birthday Party!

This past Saturday, we had the pleasure of hosting an unforgettable birthday party for a group of 14 energetic kids celebrating a special 10th birthday!

Introduction and games

We kicked things off with a warm welcome and introduction. Then a quick safety briefing to ensure everyone is safe and ready to move. The first 30 minutes were all about breaking the ice with some engaging parkour-themed games.

Learning New Skills

Next, we split the group into two smaller groups (which makes it easier to teach techniques more effectively) and spent about 20 minutes working on some key Parkour skills. The kids practiced basic vaults and underbars—a fun bar-based movement. These moves were then put to use in the next part of the session during our obstacle challenges.

🏃 Rock-Paper-Scissors Speed Course!

One of the highlights of the day was our Rock-Paper-Scissors Speed Course—a fast-paced, team-based game that had everyone laughing and cheering.

We split the kids into two teams and set up a long obstacle course with each team starting from opposite ends. At the countdown, one player from each team raced toward the center. When they met, they played a quick game of rock-paper-scissors.

The winner continued along the course, aiming to reach the other team’s “base,” while the loser dropped out and tagged in their next teammate. The back-and-forth kept going until one player finally made it all the way to the end to score a point for their team.

One team ended up winning every single round—but everyone had an amazing time, and the energy was electric.

We wrapped things up with a fun cooldown game to help the kids wind down and end the session on a high note.

🍕 Pizza & Cake

After all the action, we escorted the kids over to the café, where the parents had ordered a feast of delicious pizza, burgers, and fries.

While they were sitting and eating at the tables, we snapped some fun photos—starting with silly faces, then one with serious faces to balance it out.

Then it was time for the birthday cake! 🎂 Everyone sang “Happy Birthday” as the birthday boy stood proudly with a big smile.

The grand finale was the piñata!

Each child took turns—blindfolded and guided by their friends—swinging at the piñata.

Rules: they started a few steps before, were allowed three good swings each. After a few suspenseful swings, the piñata finally burst open, and the kids had a blast collecting all the treats.

A Day to Remember

Overall, it was a huge success and a joy for us to host. The kids loved every moment, and the Rock-Paper-Scissors Speed Course was the favorite activity of the day!
